How to record in Magix Music Maker 2013 Premium

Okay, so I've had Magix Music Maker 16 for a few years, and I was able to record at a specific point of the song when i am overdubbing (so say, I wanted to start recording a vocal part at the 40 second mark, I could just click on that mark, hit 'record' and it would start recording from that point). But when I use Magix Music Maker 2013 Premium, I will hit the record button and it will just start from the very beginning of the song. This isn't a major deal, but it is more time consuming than it has to be for me to make covers and original songs! Anyone know of the fix? It could really be as easy as pressing one button..... I just do not know a lot about this program just yet....

Any help will be appreciated! Thanks in advance~

Try inserting a marker at the point which you want to record. If the option is there, set a punch in point and a punch out point if needed.

I found out how... The yellow bar at the top can be dragged to whatever point you want to record at, and then it should stick. :)
