Have downloaded the trial Mac version but can't seem to figure out how to monitor previous tracks while recording to a new track in order to use this software as a basic multitrack studio recorder in addition to its editing capability. We're In the process of moving from a stand alone HD24 recording set up. Thanks much for any insight. Bari

@Bari-Litschauer

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

I will say immediately that I do not own or use either Sound Forge or a MAC, but there are at least a couple of things you should be aware of:

  1. Sound Forge is described as a "multichannel" recorder, not a multitrack recorder. As such, it is my understanding that it does not function in the way you expect or need.
  2. Please read this pinned post and be aware that SF for Mac is a 32 bit program and all recent versions of of Mac OSX require 64 bit software.
