How to make midi editor bars taller...not just wider (longer).

The zoom tool only makes my bars in the midi editor wider or shorter. I nee to be able to increase the row heights on which the notes are placed so I can more easily manipulate them.

Use the right hand zoom tool to increase/decrease the height. There are - + buttons at the bottom of the vertical scroll bar, or you can drag the top of the vertical scroll bar up and down to expand/contract the height.
