How to make a 3D video

DCBK wrote on 6/5/2013, 4:25 PM

I am using MEP Premium 2013.  I have a Sony blu-ray 3D playe and LG 3D TV, both less than 1 year old.  To make a 3D video, do my photos and or video have to be originally in 3D?  If not, how do I make a 3D video from it?  I have burned multiple blu-ray discs which are wasted in attempting to do so.  Not sure if I have to do something in the video itself or it is only done in the Burn area.  i have tried side by side and anlglyph.  Neither one has come out 3D.  Any suggestions or hints at to what I am doing wrong.

Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide.

Hi

First I would suggexst you read page 178 onwards in the installed pdf manual (access it through the Help menu item in MEP.

Get some BD-RE discs - then experiment using a few images or short videos and burn to these discs - you can reuse them and save money. (Once you have got what you want then burn to BD-R discs.)

Settings - in the Blu-ray burn dialog click the Encoder settings button  -  make sure you select 3D Side by Side and burn the project.

On your TV you may have to manually set the TV to 3D Side by Side.

Hi John,

I will look at the manual.  I had tried 3D side by side on one attempt, but the video would not go beyond the Main Menu.
