How to insert new footage in the middle of (looong) timeline ?

I would like to move all parts of timeline (video and audio and titles all together ) to make a space for new object in the middle of timeline BUT I would like to keep sync of everything ... How can I do that?

If I go manually, I will spend too much time, because there are 1.34hours to be splited and draged "on right till the end of timeline" to make enough room for new object to be inserted ...

It must be much easier way ...

Hi Niksa,

There are a couple of ways to do this.

Method 1 - where you see what you are doing

Place the playback marker where you want to insert the new material. If this is not at a point where all track are split, select an empty space to make sure that nothing is selected and press T or the razor blade to split everything. Then click on the mouse mode button for all tracks or shortcut 7. Now grab the first object to the right of the split and drag it to the right. All other objects below it and to the right of it will also move to the right - everything, right to the end of the movie. Move everything to leave a good space. Drag your new clip into the blank space and align it with clip where you did the split - the one to the left. If it is longer than the space that you left, drop it onto a blank track. Then either trim it to the length that you want, or move the other stuff further to the right. Then go back to normal mouse mode, shortcut 6 and move the inserted clip to track 1.

Method 2 - simply place the playback marker where you want the insert to occur. Make sure that nothing is selected on the timeline. Select the clip that you want to insert - select only. Right-click on the insert mode button and select Multitrack ripple, or shortcut 3. Your clip will be inserted at the playback position and everything that was to the right will be moved to the right.
