How to import Quicktime .mov files

I created a movie outside of Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 plus and I want to use Magix burn software to write it to DVD.  I exported it to a Quicktime .mov file but when I switch to the burn software and try to load the .mov file, nothing happens.  I have Windows 7 64 bit and Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus version 8.6.1.0.  When I go to File, Mange Movies, Import Movie, I get a message saying I don't have authorization for the drive, yet I can load a picture file from the same file folder into the project.  I can play the movie through Quicktime so it doesn't seem to be a missing codec file.  I've run GSpot and it doesn't detect a missing codec file.   Any other ideas?

Not sure whether this would work but I would start a new project in MEP, import (drag) your movie to the timeline and then switch to the Burn screen.  My reading of your post is that you are trying to import the .mov file direct to the burn screen; MEP needs to "handle" the file itself before it can be burned to disc.

I tried the method you suggested before posting my question and I couldn't get it to import no matter what I did.  It just wouldn't recognize the format.  It would just sit there and do nothing.  However, I tried it again as you suggest and now it works!  I suspect it may be because I installed new memory last night doubling my capacity from 2 meg to 4 meg.  Thanks for the tip.  I'm off to the burning process now.
