How to import music files into Sound Forge Audio Studio 14 Version 14.

When importing music files into Sound Forge Audio Studio 14 I get format unsupported messages -- how do I import recorded music files?

What is the file(s) extension, and more importantly.. the encoder used. SF may not have that particular codec installed.

If you are not sure and do not have something already, MediaInfo is a free utility which states the statistics for most all audio and video files.

It's an old CD which was itself recorded from a very hissy tape.

Did you already transfer (aka, rip) the audio track(s) from the audio CD?
