How to extract midi data

When I drag a midi file into Magix, all data is held on track 1. I want to be able to, for example, mute one sound or change the patch number. I can only do this if the midi data is spread one patch to one track. Does anyone know how to extract midi data from track 1 to all tracks?

In MMM? No. The only thing you can do is make a copy of the MIDI track for each instument in their own separate track and then delete all MIDI data except for one of the individual instruments. Yea, I know....but it can be done.
