I wanted to add a voice over after I finished my video? I went to the audio section and push the record record button to use my microphone, I get the message the selected folder is write protected -cannot write any data?

Let me guess -- Windows 7? Very strict about write access to parts of your hard drive!
The default location for recording is set under 'Program settings' >> "Path settings' tab, or you can choose another location that works in the record window 'Save file in the following folder'. Usually the problem is user writes to the 'program files' directory or sometime the difference between installing MEP for a single user or all users of the computer.
Or of course going to the folder you are currently pointed to and changing its properties.

Thanks Carl, Sounds very complicated for me? What I did do was transfer it over to my Kodak editing program and added the voice over and then transfer it back to movie edit pro. Your right I have Windows 7. I will try to do what you told me. I am volunteering at an orphanage in Thailand and making videos of the kids and wanted to do some translating. Thanks for your help...JIM
