How to cut a video and keep audio in time?

I am trying to cut a mp4 video with a soundtrack included. When ever I cut it, the sound does not match the video. I cut the audio and video tracks together. What may I be doing wrong?

I had that problem. It was fixed when Magix support suggested that I right-click on each cut section and a window with options will pop up. Click 'create frame table'. The video will line up with the audio and it will correct other problems with transition effects too. Creating a frame table helps your computer grab the pieces easier.
