how to convert a mono track into a stereo track?

Hi all :-)

is it possible to turn a mono track into a stereo track? I accidentally recorded a mono track in Samplitude and would like to turn it into a stereo track. Does anybody know how? I tried the File menu -> export -> mono / stereo convert -> 2 mono -> stereo wave, and then got all the other tracks i had recorded separately into one long stereo track. Is that normal? Or is there maybe another way?

@kate-m You can solo or mute tracks with the S and M icons. Then it should only export the tracks you want.

Hey SP.,

i just exported the track from 2 mono -> stereo wave by soloing the track. But again all other recordings were exported into one long track. But i haven't tried it yet by muting all the other tracks. I'll do that and see what happens :-)

i just converted the track having all other tracks muted, still the same result. Then having all other tracks muted, i also soloed the track i wanted to convert, but still the same result. But it is not a problem, i can still work with this situation, although it is a bit time consuming. I just wanted to tell you what the result was.
