How to Capture from HDV to AVI

Hi,

I have some HDV tapes and am trying to capture them into VideoX but somehow I seem to be stuck with mpg.

I want the pc copies to be as good as the tapes.

Any hep please?

HDV - High Definition Digital Video - is recorded on the tape as mpeg-2 and not in the DV-AVI format. If you want DV-AVI it will have to be standard defintion as DV-AVI doesn't have a HD resolution setting.
