How to add the artist to your finished track?

I added the song name to my finished song, but there was nothing asking who is the artist. How can I add the artist name to the track? Also after you convert into mp3, do you need to protect the track in anyway with copyright or something before you youtube it?

Hi,

Which program and version (year and basic or Premium) are you using?

You can modify the information stored with the file by using Windows Explorer, right-clicking and opening the properties, Details tab and entering the Album artist.

If you compile your song in MMM2015PREMIUM and the open it in the external edit, Music Edit, there you can name your track and enter the pertinent information before exporting to mp3 files. Music Editor 3 come with Music Maker but I'm not sure if it comes with the basic version.

As for copyright, no you don't have to do anything special. However you should look up Copyright under YouTube help. You should also make sure that your work is original. If you used and of the Magix soundpool loops, then your work is not entirely original. You would need to have the correct license from Magix/Catooh if you want to monetize your work. See licensing information on the Catooh site.
