How to activate plug-ins?

Kami_1 wrote on 11/24/2017, 12:38 AM

Latest version of MEP Prem. I was checking out a few plugins, but they all have an Fx logo on them. Nothing happens when I hit the activate button in the respective dialog box. The Activate command in the menu seems to be for purchases in the Magix store, since it asked for a coupon code which I don't have.

Suggestions much appreciated, thanks, Kami

Hi Kami_1.

Which specific plugins are these? i.e. from which manufacturer? The reason I ask is that different manufacturers have different methods of activation.

The coupon code you refer to should have been in the confirmation email you received when you purchased MEP. If it is not I would suggest contacting support, via this page and asking Sales why you don't have it.

Hi Kami

Do you get the NewBlue App Manager opening? It may be hidden behind the MEP window.

Hi,

I don't know. Not sure which MEP window you're referring to.

Hi Kami.

John is referring to the main MEP window; if you minimise it, is the NewBlue App Manager now visible?

Hi, If you mean minimize the entire software so the Windows desktop is showing, then No. I have to admit I haven't seen mention of the NewBlue App Mgr anywhere.

Are you running Win 10? If you click on the Windows Start icon and scroll down to the NewBlue folder and click on it, do you see a listing for "NewBlue Application Manager"? You certainly should! If so, click on it to open it and create an NB account if you need to and then use the supplied serial numbers to activate your software.

If there is no Application Manager listed there I suspect your install is faulty and you may need to uninstall and reinstall your NB effects, I think.

New Blue. Some are okay, some ask for activation. Thanks, will do.

Is it possible that the ones with the overlayed crosses are from an earlier MEP version purchase and that they are only licensed to that version?
