Hi

It is explained in the pdf manual installed with MEP it is in the Start menu , Programs, Movie Edit Pro, Documentation folder.  Look under the Burn section.

For NTSC select the settings you need as shown in his image

Tips

1. Update your burn routines  to the 2010 version if you have not already done so; they are available here http://support2.magix.com/customer/en/download/tools

2.  Use DVD-RW discs first for testing, then when you are satisfied with the movie burn to good quality DVD-R.

Thanks. I did find this part in the process and it did contribute to the successful burn.

The other part that was not clear to me was what export format to start with. I settled on the Mpeg2. Is that required?

Or can I go directly from a mp4 to Long play DVD NTSC?

Hi

Standard DVD video format is mpeg2.  At the optimised settings you get approx 2 hours video on a single layer DVD.

I would only use mp4 for HD  burned (as Bluray) to standard DVD's - you can get about 30 - 40 mins on a single layer DVD and it will play in a Bluray player.
