How get Auto scene detection to work MEP 17+.

Automatic SD is enabled in the Edit After recording window but always get one long scene that is a pain to work with. Using Sony TRV-950 for input - any ideas?. What am I doing wrong?

I have not used that... but, this is how I do it.

I load in the take that I have, then make sure it is selected, then I go to "Effects", "Video object effects", then to "Scene detection" and process each take that way. My results have been pretty good.
