How do you import cue/bin into ACL 16?

thefivestring wrote on 12/8/2014, 12:27 AM

I actually figured out how and wanted to share it with you guys but this forum is a major bottleneck. In a nutshell ... rename your .bin file to .wav, then edit the .cue file in something like notepad to reflect the .bin to .wav filename change. When you go to import the .cue file ACL will intercept you asking a few questions about the audio format. Answer these and the whole thing will be loaded in pretty as a picture... markers, names and all.

You're welcome.

By the way - this forum is confusing. Mabe someone can help me out here.

Hi,

To answer your question about confusing, you have posted this in the Q&A part making it somewhat difficult to keep around or to search for. It would be better to use the discussion part under the tab Forum, All about Magix programs, Audio Cleaning Lab/Rescue your videotapes....

Also, if you want to just show others how to do something, enter it under Tutorials. See some examples. I wouldn't use this part for just a simple posting but for something more substantial. Include a pdf showing annotated screen shots or a video.

Hi,

Are you sure that you want to mess with the bin file? It is under the program files and most users will be hesitant.

If you make up a tutorial, be thorough. Users will not know where to look for the bin and cue files, won't know what they are for, and will not understand what the other files are for either, like: VIP, H0, HDP, HS, NRW, etc. Always remember that users cannot see your screen, so it is important to show screen shots, and step by step instructions.

It's not simple.
