Hi,

You should be able to grab the upper right (fade) handle on the object and drag it towards the left. This will cause the sound to start reducing wherever you drop the corner handle.

I presume that you are using Samplitude Music Studio 2014. If so, see page 36 in the manual, bottom of the page. If not, then the description should be within a few pages of this, or search for fade handls in the help file. I suggest that you read through the tutorial part of the manual before going any farther.
