I just ran into a wierd problem on Magix Music Maker 12...The vocals have the music track mixed in..is there a setting or a button I can press to restore it to the original state with clear vocals?
Hi,
This is a quirky "bug" between Magix and some sound card manufactures. The way to fix this is go into the Sound settings in Windows Control Panel and un-check the What You Hear or Stereo Mix option... instead check line-in or mic depending on what you use.
The What You Hear or Stereo Mix option will actually record everything going in and out of your sound card - including the music you're singing along with. Why this starts on it's own is a mystery but it's almost always the case.
Now I presume that you are monitoring as you record and that you're using headphones to monitor so your mic doesn't pick up the music. You can also make sure that the music track is NOT monitor enabled by de-selecting the monitor option in the icon area of the track.
