The menu item "update" was removed by accident, it will be back once the new update is installed.

In the top right corner of the screen, there's a message that allows you to install the update (there was none available in my case):

Regards,

Markus

@Markus,

This is disturbing, to say the least. You say that you didn't have even the update message in the top right corner of the screen. So how did you update?

Magix has this 365 update policy but not only removed the capability to update but removed the updates from the user account. A couple of the Magix programs that I have notify me when an update is available, others no. I now have no idea as to what the latest patch is supposed to be.

So what do the many users do who updated and now can no longer update the program? Can someone get Magix to post a sticky advising users as to what to do? And maybe an email? And maybe an apology for incompetence?

You got me wrong. When I took the  screenshot this morning, there wasn't an update available. Of course you get a message when there's an update.

Hi

@ Markus73

After being away from home for 3 months I have come to update MEP Premium v 16.0.1.25 on my PC, which is missing the Update Online option under Help. My laptop installation updated correctly in November 2016 and January 2017.

There is not the usual message on MEP startup , with the Update immediately, Update later and Transfer program information options, stating an update is available .

. . . . Of course you get a message when there's an update. . . . .

You do if you have the News option turned on, if this is turned off in the program settings you never get this notification after turning on the news I get the message that there is an update as shown below

However when you go to the web page linked to, there is no link to be able to download the update/patch and install it. Similarly using the Download Center page and entering the serial number I only get the full download which only offers a new full installation.

In the Customer Area this is all I get for registered product patches

As you can see there have been no patches available in the Customer Area since MEP 17 Plus.

There are probably many users who are totally unaware of this issue and there is, AFAICS, no way to get the necessary patch downloaded and installed.

To repeat John CB's question - how do we get the patch, can we have patch links restored to the Customer Area and, as a backup, have sticky posts for patch notifications in the appropriate Forums?

To correct the missing 'Update' feature, I removed MEP 2017+, and then reinstalled it, (Now showing the 'Update Online' feature again), and then updated the software to it's current update status. (I saved everything / all my projects started on MEP 2017+ first, of course. Then just put the projects back in) This corrected their blunder.

Hi

Thanks for that mojoaudioguru, however that is the last thing I want to do, the full re-install and the re-applying the customisations I use take a lot of time up.
