How do I update Independence?- Music Maker 2014

kreplatch wrote on 1/20/2014, 7:50 AM

Hello:

I am brand new to music Maker 2014. I tried sampling some items from the Soundpool, and I got an error message on a LOT of sounds. They all have the same error:

"This project patch is not compatible with your version of Independence. Please update Independence to the newest version an try again."

1. What is 'Independence"

2. How do I update it?

Thanks...

If I am not wrong what I know is Independence is sampler workstation/Independence Free plug-in/Independence Library. May be you need an update to Plugin or Library. Read my answer below about this

Additional information:

This is a new link for Free and paid version of Independence. You can also download the PDF help if you click on Functions tab on the top right then scroll down and click on Manuals:

In case anyone else has this issue... I am using currently the newest MMM (Music Maker Premium 24.1.6) and I also receive this error on a portion of my samples. Primarily on newer samples. I cured the problem by changing the Audio/Midi settings in MMM.

File>Settings>Program Settings Audio/Midi tab, Audio Playback. The Default setting is the Magix ASIO driver "Magix Low Latency 2016" and I switched it to Direct Sound.

Additionally, the default setting seemed to override any other audio playback on my PC while MMM was open.. I could not listen to my media player, nor youtube or anything else. The above setting change also cured that problem.
