I reinstalled an old program to do some recording. I haven't used this program in years. Question: Is it possible to ungroup a single audio track in Music Maker16 into individual bars? I can't seem to do it, although it seems like I used to do this. Also, I do not see the ungroup group chain icons that the manual seems to indicate should be present. I appreciate any and all help with this what should be a simple problem. Thank you.

@JohnD-Carter Do you want to ungroup multiple audio objects or split a single object on each bar? Splitting objects is not the same as ungrouping them.

I have a track I recorded. It consists of multiple bars. I want to know if I can ungroup those bars into individual objects.

@JohnD-Carter You just need to use the cutting tool and cut the track at each bar.

@JohnD-Carter

@SP. has given you the correct answer, hence, I have tagged it as the solution.

BUT, there is one very big caveat that you need to remember: any audio which continues over the barline will be truncated at the point you make the cut. The resulting audio may NOT be what you want, especially if the audio is not accurately quantised to the chosen tempo and note cut-offs do not exactly match the end of a bar.
