How do I timestretch/change tempo of a single track?

soup wrote on 1/17/2018, 9:23 PM

Is it limited to specific versions of music maker? I can alter the speed of the tracks by changing the bpm, but I don't want to change the whole project, just a specific track or object. I think I'm just using the basic version. There's no tool for any kind of pitch or tempo changing in the Inspector(?), and the pitch & tempo options when right clicking an object are greyed out, and the same with tempo/pitch on the options window.

Figured it out, It was locked behind one of the purchasable features. Can't say I'm happy about that but at least it didn't cost too much.

Hi

If you are using the free version then it is more economical to upgrade to the Plus or Premum version than purchase functions/effects piecemeal.

For what you get see this comparison chart.

Once you purchase the upgrade you do not need to re-install the software, insert the serial number you receive in the free version - Help, Activate edition top entry box and then download all the extras included in the version you purchased.

@maneamario

Hi

. . . . upgrade to premium 2020(buy.it) and the tempo pitchresample is not included. . . .

That is not correct.

Once you have registered the program with the serial number you received on purchasing the upgrade.you have to download and install the additional extras which become available, these include the Timestretch/Tempo function, more Instruments and Soundpools as well as other FX.

Hi,

I recently bought the premium 2020 and tried to download everything, still no Timestrech/tempo function...

When I key in my serial number and activate, it says everything is already downloaded.

So I still can't figure out where to "download and install the additional extras" ?

Where to find it ? How to download it ? Can you please help ?

Thanks !

@fabiensg

Hi

Try logging out of the Store, restart Music Maker and then login back in to the Store.

If the extras have not been installed they should be available on the Downloads tab that appears next to the Store tab.

Alternatively in the Store select the gear (cog) and set the option to Show purchased items - if there any with an arrow overlay they have not been downloaded and installed.

Hi John,

Thanks for your quick answer, it's really appreciable to get a so reactive support !

I actually had to download the sound pools from my previous versions of Magix and in the bunch of all those new installations I got back the missing controls in my inspector.

Everything's set now, thanks !
