How do I set my scroll wheel to zoom in and out in Movie Studio 18?

Tanng wrote on 10/27/2021, 11:10 PM

I just got Movie Studio 18 Platinum and when I roll the mouse scroller up and down, it moves my project from left to right instead of zooming in and out. I need to fix this asap. I know how to zoom in and out with the other methods, but I work faster with the scroller, because I'm used to it from my Acid music days. Can someone help me please? Thanks

@Tanng

Hi,

It doesn't need fixing as that is how it is supposed to work. Remember, this is not Vegas MS and you will have to learn a new set of commands.

To zoom in and out on the timeline, hold down Ctrl + mouse wheel when the mouse cursor is over the Project Window, or use the + - buttons at the bottom right of the Project Window.

To zoom in and out on the Preview Monitor, also hold down Ctrl + mouse wheel when the mouse cursor is over the Preview Monitor.

As far as I have found, this cannot be changed in Shortcuts.

To scroll down vertically in the Project Window, Alt + mouse wheel or use the vertical scroll bar.
