I can't seem to find the button to save my song I made in music maker jam for my Windows 8. I would like to save it as an mp3 so I can share it with my friends. Can someone give me instructions please? I have been looking all over. Thank you.
Sorry I don't have musicMaker, but in other Magix programs, like the video editor Movie Edit Pro, 'Save' and 'Save as' are for projects eg for video editing it's a list of clips and what parts are to be shown and when, transitions, titles and extra audio tracks etc. When ready to produce a new piece of film one uses 'File' >>' Export movie' >> with choices of format.
I'd assume the same for Music Maker -- the project file (.MMM ?) is a list of loops etc and an export is what you will play on your computer or mobile device. Look for an 'Export' function and pick mp3 rather than .wav. etc.

I have lots of MM programs and the easiest for you would be that when you close out your session, MM will ask you "changes have been made ...you wanna keep ? delete ? "obviously you wanna keep, so then it will ask you what you want to name it.....it being your song....then you need to write it down so you don't forget what yu named it, and then you hit "save as....whatever name you gave it" and whatever name you gave it , isn't its real name its the one you gave it....oh, nevermind
With Music Maker Jam this is a bit different: music maker jam is a windows 8 app, that only works in the modern ui environment of windows 8. You can for sure save your project and you find this option in the app bar. This bar pops up from below when you swipe up from the bottom of a touch screen. With mouse you have to right click at the bottom of the screen. If you want to get an mp3 file of your jam session, you just have to record and Music Maker Jam will generate an mp3 for you.
