How do i recover lost soundpools that i have purchased.

timsever25 wrote on 11/8/2014, 10:16 PM

I recently lost my laptop screen and decided to build a desktop, went through that process to have to wipe my solid state drive of its old saved info. Now i re downloaded my programs but cant find the ability to recover my soundpools that i purchased onsite. I am pretty tech savvy so i am either blind or dumbfounded on this one. Do i just wait for a re-registation/activation code from magix for my software or what?

Hi Tim,

You say that you re-downloaded the programs. From your account with Magix? Elsewhere? Which version? Did you install the program and did you enter your serial number? Does the program work? Did you download and install all of the free downloads? I presume that you purchased on line. Did you check the original email for additions to the programs? In my emails from Magix, there are often other things, like soundpools, to be downloaded by clicking on the link, following the instructions and entering the serial number where required.

You say that you "...can't find the ability to recover my soundpools tjat I purchased onsite." Which site, Magix or Catooh? It seems that you already have an account with Magix and you can download programs. If you purchased from Catooh, then you must have an account under Catooh as well. Log in and check out your purchases. You should still be able to download them.

Without more information we can't help you. We may also be somewhat tech savvy here, but as you are well aware, we can't see your screen and we don't know what you have or what you did.

I do have an account on catooh, my downloads for hip hop vol 3 and 4 and a few soundpacks show up but all the way on the right of the page it shows a hyphen symbol instead of the word download like it should, so as i stated it doesnt have the option to re-download my purchased items from the onsite page with catooh. i have sent the tech support an email concerning this matter yesterday and am awaiting reply for my inquiry.

Hi Tim,

You did the correct thing to ask.

One thing to watch out for, I seem to recall that some additional soundpools or instruments came with the program and I did not go through Catooh to get them (or maybe I did but don't remember). Thus these may not show up in Catooh.

I try to keep the email offer that Magix sends me and I always keep the emails to and from Magix, including the email after purchasing with the download links, serials numbers, etc., so that I can always go back to see what I am supposed to have.

Good luck in getting your soundpools!

Maybe it's just me or perhaps its the simple conclusion that if Magix can keep our purchases and their details available to us for such measures then why would it be such a far stretch to imagine they could be doing the exact same thing with ALL Magix purchases to include Soundpools, Instruments and the like. I mean after all, isn't the point of making those available to provide Quality Customer Service? What I am seeing is not intuitive and it does not in anyway benefit the community by not providing this information. You buy apps on Google and guess what? You can go reinstall them anytime you need to! Why is this not handled in the same manner?
