How do I Record Using My Webcam?

I just downloaded the trial version of Movie Edit Pro MX Plus, and I cannot get the thing to record off my webcam. It says that it cannot connect to the device.

Try 'Webcam' in the search box for a start. Many replies including:

I use the camera's software for capture, as the maximum frame rate is not standard, and then import the file into MEP.
