It would help if you gave us more information.

What is the make and model of the keyboard you want to use?  Is it a MIDI controller or does it have internal voices you intend to record?

What kind of inteface do you have on your computer?  An audio/MIDI interface? Only a sound card?

Well I have (2) keyboards one is a CASIO CTK 811 and I have my 1/4" to usb cable coming from the Headphones out to get the sound I want to use from that keyboard.

My other keyboard is a M-Audio Prokeys Sono 88 It has a usb outlet, midi out, and 1/4" outs

My Casio had midi in/out and just a headphone jack (I use the headphone jack to record from the casio).

I just bought this Magix Music Maker 17 version online.

But Ive been using the older version from 2003 and both keyboard works fine with the old software

and the computer I am using has Windows 7/Vista with a regular sound card.

Are there any drivers that need to be installed to use the audio-USB cable?

Have you set your Casio as the recording input device in Windows and in MMM?

How is the Prokeys Sono 88 connected to your computer?  Are you recording audio or MIDI?
