The movie contains several projects. I would like to rearrange their order.
Is this possible in Movie Edit Pro MX without saving each project as a separate MVP, and then re-importing them in the proper order to a new MVP compilation?
I think you want to burn a DVD, from a project with several films. (each film on it's own Timeline). And you want to rearrange the films. In Burning menu, click Edit in upper left corner. The preview frame for each film can now be moved as you like. --- Did I understand the question ?
No. The DVD is a compendium of multiple performances. The performances should appear in chronological order in the menu but do not because the performances were not added as projects (i.e., windows) to the master MVP file in sequential order.
When I try to rearrange the order of the projects in the Burn-Edit section, I receive an error message saying that the order of the projects cannot be changed.
I suspect there are only two solutions:
Create a bunch of new, empty project windows; then copy the contents of each edited project into those new, empty project windows in the correct sequence; and then remove the original project windows from the file.
Save each project (i.e., performance) as a separate MVP file. Then import them in correct sequence into a new host MVP file.
If someone knows a more direct solution, I would be grateful.
Okay. I solved the problem by opening the MVP file in an older version of Movie Editor Pro (version 12), where the individual movies appear as tiles in sequence when you open the file. You can move the tiles around there, save the file, then reopen it in Movie Editor Pro MX. The MX version does not seem to have this capability -- disappointed.
