Anxiety...

In my Soundpools window (below the main screen) I have a button above the Soundpools column that says "Add."  I'm not sure, since I'm new to the software too, but I think I read somewhere that if you click this it will import the files to your HD.

Good luck and hope your less anxious now!

Note: Always use copied soundpools do not play with the originals. Keep them safe.

You are right some times it happens. Please refer PDF tutorial it will be helpful.

Also you can do as follows:

CASE 1: If you got Sound pool DVD

CASE 2: If you are facing problem in the Sound pool library available in the Music Maker

You better copy individual Genre folder ONE BY ONE

example: Hiphop Techno Trans etc. After copying each folder check the total number of audio files such as if your Soundpool DVD or Music Maker program got 250 files inside the Hiphop folder your copied folder must got the same number. I know you  got to do some manual work but it will be helpful.

After copying the folders you can now add them using Add style button. If you still face problem in that case use File manager drag and drop the audio file which is giving you problem then export that as wav or ogg. Later put that newly exported file inside the Folder of desired Genre.

If you still face problem contact via message.

I am having the very same issue. I can find my soundpool sounds that I have: downloads and the soundpool_dvd folder and the basics_20 folder.

But I want to access the sounds that are in the three folders.

I would have expected all the folders in the Soundpools path 'Users/Public/Documents/Soundpools/(any folders in this folder)'  to be parsed for sounds and all put into the Soundpools tab. I am very shocked it doesn't do this!  It constantly bugs me saying that the sounds aren't there and I need to reimport them and put in the DVD again!

Am I doing something wrong?  I have imported two or three discs already several times, and the Soundpools tab never picks this up.

It seems to only read the contents of the basics_20 folder.

It is not how we want a software to be but the depends on maker. Regarding your problem did you read my answer below and checked the given url if not I will say in your case when we face problem in soundpool it is better to re-set and try again. BUT before you do anything better read the tutorial and always keep copy of soundpools.

I could not say about the new version of Music Maker but as far as I know, Music Maker will save Soundpool (Basic folder) VST plugins/other files in different locations. When we copy the contents of the DVD soundpool we must not change any file or folder's name such as if the original folder name is Basic_20 we can not rename like Basic 20.

@nihon94: Thank you for your fast reply. This is what the interface looks like in 2014.

This is my problem I have put a box around the path to the files in the soundpools reference. For some reason they are at the path of the my DVD-ROM and not my imported sound pool.  This bothers me.  I recognise you most likely do not have the answer to my problem.

I have collections 17, 18, and 20. All of them have are accessable though the D:\soundpool_DVD, and not the imported soundpool_DVD folder I have imported all my sounds too.

I simply would like to know why and how to fix this seemingly simple problem.  Like, is there a config file somewhere I can edit to fix this absurd problem?

Hi,

"I recognise you most likely do not have the answer to my problem."

In that case I must not bother you any further.

Thank you

Have you had any problems with after installing a Soundpool the new sounds aren't recognized as being there when you start up a project you used some sounds from a soundpool like SoundPool 17.

For me it wanted me to retell it where the files were after I had installed them and I was sure that MusicMaker should have known that.
