How do I open mp3 files?

On my old laptop in SF13 I had no problem opening or saving mp3 files. Now I have loaded it onto my new laptop and it tells me that it is an unsupported file type. What's up with that and how do I fix it?

Welcome to the Magix Sound Forge forum @HC-Southern.

This appears to be a common issue. Try re-setting Sound Forge to the factory default settings, if that does not help, uninstall> reinstall. This recent thread elaborates on the procedure.
