Hi,

No matter windows 7 or xp, vista rules are same.

Open Music Maker 16

You should turn off easy mode. Refer image when it is turn on and off below.

Easy mode is on(Top left under MAGIX above track 1)

Click on right to turn of easy mode

Look below you will see Soundpool, File Manager, Synthesizer etc.

Click on File Manger then choose browse and locate your audio/video files and drag and drop on arranger. If you want to browse directory click on small TV icon under File Manger.

Hope this answer will help you, if not send message.

Thank you

thanks for that, but I've got the basic skills to use MMM16 but it won't let me import MP3 files. I have to save them as a CD playable *.cda file and them drag them off the CD !!

Also I've got a new camera and it also takes vide in MP4 format. My laptop can play the file but again it won't import it. The Mp3 format error message tells me I have ID3 errors in the data, offers to fix the problem, then doesn't fix them,  then tells me to contact the administrator !!  I e=mailed the Magix support team but they advised me to uninstall my virus checker , re-install various files but to no avail. Do you know what file types MMM16 is suppose to be able to use ??

Hi,

Here are some options:

Are you using windows vista? if so when you want to install software First put cursor on installation file then right click and choose as administrator.

-------------

Install codecs pack if you do not got one, what I will advice are good and I do use myself.

K-lite pack

http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/

After that you should get free version of Any audio and video converter, download only freeware and install (read help file that is easy)then convert your audio and video in the same fortmat to test also in other supported formats by Music Maker.

----------

When you use Music Maker do not use any other software even email, messenger etc.

---------

I hope you are not using trial version???

---------

Sign in and check on Magix website if there is any Download patch is available for Windows 7?

I think there is if so, download and install.

Try above and see.

Thank you
