So I upgraded to Music Maker 2025... but now the VSTs I had bought for Music Maker 2016 (my previous version) do not appear. On the shop it still claims I have to buy them.
Do I really have to re-buy the VSTs for every version of MM?
@FM79 Did you ever enter the Music Maker 2016 serial number into Music Maker 2024 (not 2025!)? I think that is necessary, so that the instruments get activated on the store.
Only other alternative is to install Music Maker 2016 parallel to Music Maker 2025.
@FM79 Is Music Maker 2016 and all instruments installed on your computer?
To unlock the instruments in the store you can to install the old Music Maker Free Edition from here https://dl03.magix.net/musicmaker.exe and try to enter your 2016 serial number there. In the past it unlocked the instruments in the store. It's not guaranteed this still works.
Be also aware that Music Maker 2016 came out before the store was introduced, so that's why there is no connection between your instruments and the store.
Oh I see I had uninstalled 2016. The instruments DO show on MM2025, but for most it says it cannot find them I'll try your suggestion, thanks, hopefully it works
@FM79 Instead of adding each instrument path individually, have you tried to add the MxSynth folder? All Magix instruments should be located inside the folder.
@FM79 The lock means that the instruments are installed but not unlocked, usually this happens because the program was uninstalled they came with, for example an older version of Music Maker or Samplitude Music Studio.
