Hi

More detail on what the problem is please:-

1.   Is the problem with installation? If so:-

Where did you buy the program from?

Is it the download version or boxed?

Or

2.    Is it installed correctly and you are having problems importing video?  If so:-

What is the source and format of the video?

 Or

3.   Is it a problem with uploading video on to the web?

John

1. I have already installed the program. At least to my knowledge, it has been installed. I bought the program from Best Buy. And it is boxed.

2. I am having this problem. I dont know what the format is for my videos. Unless you mean the deffinition, in which case its HD video. It wont let me import videos to the program unless I enter a code. That seems to be my only issue.

Is there a way I can contact someone in person? This would be much easier if I could have someone help me step by step on the phone.

Hi

Which version of MEP 17 HD did you buy - Standard, Plus or Premium?

Have you registered the software on-line?  You should have been asked to do this after you installed the software and entered your serial number from the box. If not click Help, Register online

Are you being asked to purchase or activate a codec? If so you should be taken online to purchase and then be sent an activation code for the codec by email or you need to go on-line to activate the codec - see under Help, Activate codecs.

To find out what format the videos are you can use either GSpot or MediaInfo (both freeware) to analyse a video clip or if a video camera, look in the manual for the specs for the video format.

Also there is an MEP pdf manual installed on your computer on your Start menu, Programs, Magix, Documentation that is worth reading if you have not used MEP before.

Hi

The popup should have a button/link to register the codec required.  Failing that there should be an option in the Help menu

Can you confirm which version of MEP 17 HD you bought please.

Some codecs are licensed and you have to pay for them, if you need them, if the version you have bought does not include the licence fee.  This way Magix can keep the price down.

The Premium version while more expensive, includes the fee for the licenced codecs - though you still have to activate some of them.
