File (menu) > Export > Audio as...MP3.

But why is it that I can convert my work but when I listen to it via VLC, nothing comes out but silence?

Are you absolutely certain you have converted the music to a file format (MP3, etc...) that VLC supports? Are you able to play the file in any other media player?

Hi, same thing is happening to me. Trying to export to any audio file; export happens successfully. But when I play, WMP prompts me an error message and VLC reproduces just silence..

Any help?

Hi

@ Nayala and gian-carlo

It would help if we knew which version of MMM you are using and is it patched up to date?

Also are you changing any of the export settings in the dialog shown below

Which begs the question....Are the Start and End markers properly placed at the beginning and end of your track before exporting? Also, how large is the saved file? Is it the appropriate size for the length of the track and the bit rate, or is it only 1 MB or 0 MB? That would at least tell you if there is any information stored in the file.

gian-carlo wrote on 12/30/2016, 12:47 PM

johnebaker, the setting are exactly those and the version is 24.1.3.57 (UDC2), in the 30-day trial version format.

Procyon, actually the file size is 887 kb vs a 1'10'' audio track...

Hello guys! I just sorted it. Figured there was a mistake in the audio settings. All fixed!

Many thanks and happy 2017!

Hello. Similar problem. I can convert to MP3 ok but when I try to play it using Windows Media on my Windows 10 OS computer, it only plays the beginning few bars and not the total length, which runs in Magix for about 1 minute. What am I doing wrong?

@colm-oscopy

Hi

Please start a new topic - your issue is different to the original which is nearly 6 years old and refers to a different version of Music Maker.

Thanks
