How do I change input from NTSC to PAL

Movie Edit Pro MX Plus Download Version

Worked perfectly yesterday.  Today only reads through Kaiser Baas DVD Maker in NTSC.  This is Australia.  I need PAL but none of thesettings offered give me colour input.

What has gone wrong and how do I fix it.

Hi

First things i would check the video settings in Movie edit pro MX Plus (I use an italian version, but the paths are the same in all localizations) : )

Start Movie edit pro and then clic on File/setting/software or just on "Y" in order to acceed  the setting window.

Once you opened the settings area clic on "video/audio" and activate the filed "PAL" to set the software on PAL.

From now on the project will be PAL, If you want a NTSC project you will have toi change this setting back to NTSC.

If you need to capture a signal from an analog  device you will have to try the different PAL settings available.

"Notice that the settings possibilities may change from device to device"

For analog capturing i use a USB videoconverter Device From MAGIX

Open the Analog Videorecording Box and clic on "Advanced"

You will find that there are many possible variation of PAL.

Now try the different settings until you find the one that works for Australian Broadcasting.

Hope that helps

Greetings

Hi Erhard

Firstly, I do not recognize the screen behind the first drop-down menu you show - however, I go to

file -> settings -> movie

and I have tried three of the PAL settings:

PAL 16:9 (720x576; 25fps)

PAL HDV1 720p (1280x720; 25fps)

PAL FullHD 24p 16:9 (1920x1080; 24fps)

For each of these settings I go to

Red Button -> Video

MAGIX shows PAL selected then changes that to NTSC.  I go to "Advanced" and change that to each of the PAL settings in turn.  Only PAL60 and PAL M give me black and white video.  The other settings only show a black screen.

For the record, I am using MAGIX Video Easy SE and my Kaiser Baas dongle and the setup works perfectly.

What is wrong with Edit Pro.  I am using the "movie_edit_pro_mx_plus_324mb_us.exe" version with the "patch_video_dlx_mx_plus_11.0.5.0.exe" patch installed.

The mystery remains.
