How come i'm unable to install my software?

I got the MAGIX Movie Edit Pro MX Plus. I click 'MAGIX Movie Edit Pro MX Plus' under Install program: and it askes me the following questions

1. Welcome to the setup program for MAGIX Edit Pro MX Plus. Click "Cancel to end the installation or click 'Next' to start the installation program.( I click 'Next)

2. License Conditions (I click accept and agree, then next)

3. Select Installation Type (Standard, 'Next')

4. Start Installation, press 'install' to begin (Install)

5. Installs in four seconds

6. Installation Successful. The installation has completed successfully. Press "Finish" to complete the installation. [x] Start MAGIX Movie Edit Pro MX Plus now (finish)

7. Error pop ups

MAGIX Movie Pro MX Plus Setup: Non-elevated process could not be created. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. (123) Videodeluxe.exe

I'm using my laptop which as Windows 7. This has happened everytime I tryed to install it for the past 3 days

First, thanks for the specific info you have provided -- many posters here just say '...it doesn't work. Why?' without a clue even to the program they are trying to use.

Sorry, I've never heard of a 'Non-elevated process' much less an elevated one! My only suggestion is to install for all users if you haven't already. I've got MX Plus on my Win 7 machine with no problems. Others may have better suggestions -- have you reported the error through the Magix system? We're just users here -- not tech gurus.

This error may occur if the user installing the software does not have administrator privileges or anti-virus is blocking the install.

Try right clicking the Videodeluxe.exe and select Run as administrator. Come back with whether this succeeds or generates another install error message.
