I just got the Magix music maker software, and I am really wanting to use my M-audio mic, because it sounds so great... but the "premium" software doesn't recognize, my $200 microphone????? Anyone know how it is possible to use my mic? I am so confused... thanks for any help you can give...

I have had the microphone for 5 months, it works amazing... I am assuming that the problem is with the music maker not recognizing the device on some computer way or something... I am sure there is a way to do it, please help!!!!

Hi,

You need to use the Asio 2 driver that comes with the microphone and you will have to monitor it using headphones. You did not indicate which microphone that you purchased. If it is the Producer microphone, you have to plug in your headphones to the microphone to monitor what goes in and also any sound coming back from MMM. You also have to make sure that you set this up properly in the Program settings under Audio/Video. Under Audio playback, select the change the ASIO driver to the one that came with the microphone and make sure that the output indicated in the top button is for your monitor with the microphone.

You may also have to do some setting up in Windows audio device settings to select the correct microphone.

Let us know if this works.
