How can I set the size of image recorder in burn screen?

I have MEP 16 Plus.When I go to burn screen and burn to image recorder,all is OK but when I try to burn image to disc, I get message that image is too large(more than 4.4gig).When I go to burn screen and click'adjust bit rate' I get the message' bit rate does not need adjustment,there is sufficient space on the disc' . I have  downloaded and run the 2009 and 2010 burn routines.Is there a way to adjust the image recorder size? Could I change the size and use dual layer?

Hi

Yes there is a way however it is not obvious until it is pointed out - on the Burn dialog, select the Encoder Settings button, using the Bitrate slider reduce the bitrate setting until the playback length is less than 2 hours eg 1hr 50mins for standard DVD 5 (single layer) discs (see image)  then continue with the burn.

 

Note if your video on the timeline is longer than 2 hours then you may have to resort to splitting the movie over 2 discs or burn direct to a double layer (DVD9) disc.

Hi John

I tried this with two long projects and I find it works only if smart render box is unchecked.I adjusted the bitrate slider to reflect the full time shown on the timeline and the rendering process fits the data nicely on the standard single layer DVD.

This has been a great help.
