How can I run *.MP4 videos in MAGIX

I have a Sony Camera that gives me MPEG-4 clips with MP4 file extention, I need to make one movie out of several clips. MAGIX movie is not able to run these clips.

What Magix program do you have? What model is this camera? Is the format AVCHD?
