How can I reverse Audio in MM15

I am a dance teacher and edit all of my own music.  I want to be able to reverse portions of songs in order to cut our the curse words.  I used to be able to do this flawlessly on MM6 way back in the day, but have since then forgotten how to do it.  It used to be a function on the Audio FX rack, but I cannot seem to find it.  Plz help!

I don't believe it exists in MMM-15.  I couldn't find it either and it's not listed in the help files.  I do know it is included in MMM-10.  I don't know when they decided to eliminate it.  If you no longer have MMM-6, I guess your only option is to send those sections to someone who can reverse them for you.

OR...you could cut out the bad stuff and paste in a safe section of the track to replace it.  If you are working with WAV files, you can also use the wave editor to reduce those parts so they are no longer offensive.

OR...Why not use MMM-15 to create your own dance tracks without any curse words???

Hi,

I can tell you how to reverse the audio in MM14; hopefully this will work the same in MM15.

Right-click on the audio passage you want to reverse.  From the context menu, you should see "Edit wave externally".  Choosing this will open the Magix Music Editor 2.0 (the free audio editing program that comes with a lot of Magix programs).

With the audio track open in Music Editor, click "Effects" from the menu at the top and then select "reverse"

That's it!

Hope this helps.

Why not simply BEEP out the curse words then export as a new file

Hi there,

Just select the audio object/segment you want to reverse and press CONTROL+B on your computer keyboard. That will do the trick. It's purely non-destructive, too.

Naturally, if you want to reverse a brief segment in a song, you'd first have to isolate it as a separate object by placing the play cursor first at the beginning and then at the end of the segment and splitting it off using the "T" key.

I hope this helps.
