how can I remove the sound of drums from a song...

I'm trying to make a mashup and the drum track on one of the songs is conflicting with the other, can I get rid of the drum track completley or seperate it from the other parts of the song? I tried dampening the footstep noise and other audio cleaning effects but that's not working...

If this is a single audio file then this is not possible - it is like trying to seperate out one of the ingredients of a cake mix once everything has been mixed together.
