Actually, it looks like you can download the new "Samplitude Music Studio MX" directly to your shopping cart at your local Best Buy! I live in Arkansas, USA, and they have it here bundled with Music Maker MX plus a 6 GB loop library. I, for one, am happy to see a new boxed version of Music Studio here in the U.S. (there wasn't a boxed version of Samplitude Producer).

It does look like they may have "downgraded" some features, like the 96 kHz max sample rate in Producer has been lowered to 48 kHz in MX. But it looks like there are also some nice new features included, too. I'm just surprised that it's already available as a boxed version on store shelves, while the Magix website still shows Producer 11.5.

Samplitude Music Studio MX is not a new version of the program, neither is Music Maker MX - these are old version were released in 2011.

More information on the latest version of Music Studio is here. Note the product name has change in that the year is no longer part of the name, it is just called Samplitude Music Studio.

The link I provided is for the latest version - using the old naming system this would have been Music Studio 2017.

It is more a question of whether there is anything new in the latest version that you need.

Also I cannot find any indication of whether the new version is now in the Update Guarantee licensing system - see more info on this here.

Um, yeah, if you look at the date of my response, you'll notice it was posted in 2011. This thread is that old. At the time of the post, those were the current versions.
