Hide waveforms in Music Maker 2016 Premium

My PC renders waveforms very slowly. Is it possible to hide the waveforms from the project view and show only a color bar representing the wav?

Try switching to Simplified object display in the programs Settings, General options tab. This does not turn off the waveform diisplay however it does revert to a static waveform dispaly.
