Hi Greg,

I don't know how you found a Music Studio 2016 in a store, because as far as I know, it's not yet out in English.

I checked the Gernan site because the new versions are released in German first, and they now show 2016. Yesterday or the day before, they showed 2015.

Be patient, the English version should be out in a week or two. In the meantime, you have plenty to learn with what you have. You may want to check out the Kraznet tutorials on YouTube for Samplitude. Many of the tutorials apply to Samplitude Music Studio.

Just looked at the site and I can't see much in the way of new things that didn't come with MusicMaker 2016 Live.

Like I said, if you have the instrument with Music Maker, you will have it with SMS. However, they say it comes with 19 instruments, so that may be your ticket to get them all cheaply. But as you pointed out in another post, Magix doesn't tell you what those 19 instruments are. You can always ask Magix for the list and let everyone know.

BTW, Independence with 12GB of instruments came with a previous version of Samplitude Music Studio. Too bad they aren't still offering it. The full version has 70Gb of instruments, or something like that.

I got mine via an exclusive bundle offer at BestBuy.com ! It was MusicMaker 2016 Live with bonus Music Studio 2016 and Soundpool DVD 21.... It was a sweet, couldnt pass up deal! helps me start to make up an instrument list like yours, well, a start towards it! lol

Here is the link John, its still there! they also have the same bundle in 2015 version also along with many other Magix products!

They are all registered... but I don't recall seeing any check boxes. I will go look now! Thanks man! You think its ok to leave that link up here, or should take down?.... Don't want to disrespect the Magix Team in any way.

Ok, I just looked again at my account online and went through all the pages and options. I don't see anything like a box for recieving updates information? I'm signed up for the newsletter and news option........

Are you sure about that option John?

Hi Greg,

It must be the Newsletter and news option. Magix told me that I had not been receiving update messages because I had turned it off. I have since checked it, but still have received nothing. Maybe there is something else somewhere.

After my "go around" with the authorizing of my free bonus sounds recently, and being told that I was seeing a different screen than they were, I hope its not becuase I am using the USA sites and language for my account..... I'd imagine that wouldn't be intentional, but maybe a slip up on the different versions and links somehow..... If it was the newsletter option, I am good there! I have already received product info for other products (my ignored/missed Music and Audio Lab 2016 deal for half off, bummer) and sales from them via email, so I should be "connected and active" for best deals first! :)

Thanks again for working with me on my questions! Its good to know I'm not the only one trying to figure things out in some cases....... Have a good weekend!

Hi Greg,

If you managed to get the 149$ special offer for Samplitude Pro X3 Suite that includes Spectralayers, then you got an extremely lucky low price. It would be good of Magix to offer those of us who purchased Pro X3 at a higher price earlier, a good price for Spectralayers.

Have fun!

Hey John, been 2 years..... lol

I did! A very happy camper indeed. I didn't really need it, but couldn't pass it up once I saw the deal and spent a couple hours last week stewing over info and justifying it. Glad I did. More I dive in and use it for tests and getting familiar with it, the more I appreciate it! Yes, that SpectraLayers video or two on Magix site, or linked from there, sent me over the Wow threshold. I was IN at that point whether I needed or not ;-)
