Hellow, how do i normalize my sound/music, so everything will have the same volume? And how do I render my movie if I shoot it in 1920 * 1080 HD to a 1/2/1/2 pull down, so it will show like a normal movie at the CINEMA THEATER?

Movie Edit Pro question ver 17

Hello, how do i normalize my sound/music, so everything will have the same volume, in movie edit pro?

And how do I render my movie if I shoot it in 1920 * 1080 HD to a 1/2/1/2 pull down, so it will show like a normal movie at the CINEMA THEATER

Thanks,

Charlie Grant

cgrant1996,

Pull down is only necessary if you are changing the frame rate (frame per second). I'm not sure exactly which method is used by MEP but you should only need to specify you cinema frame rate in your project setting and check that the same rate is used for your export. 1/2/1/2 seems odd -- are you doubling or halving the rate? See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecine. Have you checked with your cinema to determine exactly what file format(s) then can project?

For audio levels you can pick 'normalize' from a right click menu on an audio object but this normalizes the original signal without reference to other objects. You will probably have to set the volume curve of any objects that are noticeably too loud or soft. Volume curve is another right click menu option.

A search for 'volume' in the MEP PDF manual should provide more detail.

Regards,

Carl

I find the compression tool useful for leveling audio volumes.  You can apply compression to clips, tracks and movies as well.  Open the audio mixer by pressing m, then click fx over the tracks or fx in the upper right hand area to apply to the whole movie.
