Hello Again, I'm Back!!! (Sonic Foundry Forum User check-in Club)

It's been a long time folks!!!

Just checking in to see who is still hanging around from the Sonic Foundry forum club. You know who you are, and you may recognize my forum username if you do.

I'ld like to say I'm excited to see Magix adopting what to some of us have turned into our long forgotten and neglected children. I'm talking about our kids Sound Forge Pro, Acid Pro, and Vegas Pro. You along with myself were there during the initial SF 4.0/4.5 releases and when Acid Pro and Vegas Pro were just a sparkle in Sonic Foundry's eyes. Some of you were part of the SF, Acid, and Vegas beta test teams along with myself.

I also have to say, I'm digging the communication and announcements coming out from Magix about these long forsaken tools when they were under control of the Sony regime. It's very refreshing!

I just got a new laptop and it was time to install the latest/greatest of these tools on the new laptop were I'm now just signing in for the 1st time in a long time and checking to see who of the now old timer club is still around.

So where you at?

Cheers!!!

Red

Welcome back Red, I certainly do recall you from the Sonic Foundry and SCS forum days. Sorry to say, there's a lot less activity on the Magix SF group than there was on the SCS SF group, though the forum kind of hidden. I was also on the beta test team for SF Pro 10, 11 and now 12. Both AS-12 and Pro 12 which has not been released yet.

A few of the other 'old timers' frequent the Magix Vegas pro video and audio forums. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/vegas-pro-forum/video/ .

Cheers, Rick

Thanks for the Welcome back Rick!!! Good to see you still hanging around. I'm glad someone stuck around to captain the ship and keep up the good fight while the rest of us dispersed and abandoned it. Well, I kind of got thrown overboard at the end 😆....but that's all good.

I'm glad to see the Magix team breathing some life back into these great tools. I really thought I was witnessing yet another long and drawn out Opcode Studio Vision death with all the Sonic Foundry products. Hopefully, there's some long term vision with these products going on behind the scenes and we can get this forum back to hoping again and get back to arguing about what are the most important features we all need. 👍

Have you been working with any of the developers that transitioned over from SF/Sony with the beta testing? Peter still around?
