Hey, I need help. My USB headphones don't work with magix, they work fine with everything else but this program, which makes it a lot more difficult to work with, so i would love to know how to make this work. I have a windows 7 desktop pc and i'm using magix music maker 2016, I have tried jack headphones and they work, but i need them when i'm out of the house plus they're a lot worse then my USB once. Thank you for all your help.

Hi

Try the following:

With the USB headphones plugged in:

  1. Right click the speaker in the system tray bottom right of your windows desktop

  2. Select Playback devices, to open Windows Sound control panel. The Playback tab should show the USB headphones.

  3. If the headphones do not have a green tick against them and 'Default device' next to it, select the headphones and then click Set default.

  4. Click OK in the Sound control panel to close it.

  5. Start Music Maker and open the program settings - P key

  6. On the Audio/Midi tab set the Audio playback options - in the dropdown you should see the USB headphones (or Default device) - select this then set the option below to Direct sound

The headphones should now work with Music Maker.
