Greenscreening a giff file

Hello,

I have a giff file that I would like to remove the static background and preserve a dancing subject in the foreground.

Is it possible to greenscreen the background using Magix? I would like to use the greenscreen and chromakey feature to drop the dancer into a video clip with a movie I am constructing.

Hi Marc.

In my opinion, it would be much easier to open such a file in a photo editing package where the file would be opened with all the individual layers and then erase the background from the base frame and resave with transparency.

Hi Marc. Nice 👍

Sometimes a small dedicated program for doing one simple thing is a better solution. I have a program that stitches panoramas either 180º or a 9x9 grid. I used to make my own giffs with a website building app a long time ago and transfer them to Photoshop to animate. Mainly animated buttons but the principle is the same.
