Try to work with the threshold and fading range slide in the video effects dialog. Both are parameters for the chroma keying effects and need to be set pretty low in order to make potential colored edges around your green screen footage disappear. Generally, how well you will get the whole chroma keying thing to work for you also very much depends on the suitability and quality of your source material. If you're a hobbyist/amateur, which I suppose you are, you will just have to accept certain technical and budget limitations, e.g. with regard to green screen setup, camera and lighting equipment.
